ABOUT NINA

Nina Deacon trained at the Nancy Whyte School of Ballet in Bellingham, WA.

 

At 13, she joined the Mount Baker Ballet where she danced her way from Snowflake to Snow Queen and performed many soloist and principal roles. She moved to New York City to further her professional career and has been honored with many opportunities that showcase her unique gifts as a dancer and as a performer.  Hailed as a "dance artist," a "dancer/actress,"  a "performer that makes any show better," and "a dancer who makes the audience feel," Nina's experience ranges from lead and ensemble roles in off-Broadway shows to ballet and modern companies.

 

Favorite credits include  include "Tchaikovsky – A New Stage Play," "Still on the Corner," the title role of "Golden Bird" in "Finding the Golden Bird," "First Coquette" in "Dances of Life and Death," and "Odile" in "Lake of Sorrows." Companies include Ballet for Young Audiences, Jersey City Ballet, Homo Veritas Dance Theatre, Linda Diamond and Co, and as a guest artist with "New American Youth Ballet." Nina is very honored to have danced in Broadway Cares as part of the "Easter Bonnet." 

She looks forward to exploring her next artistic adventure and relishes any opportunity to connect with an audience and be a part of creating the magical world of "the theatre."
